Neda, a river with a female name, delimits the borders between the Region Units of Ilia and Messinia and is another "treasure" of natural beauty in the Peloponnese.
The river springs are located in the mountains of the two Units very close to Andritsaina and flow into the Ionian Sea on the extensive sandy beaches of the Gulf of Kyparissia, near the village of Elea. In its route, Neda crosses a beautiful gorge of 32km long with narrow passages and points with waterfalls where small natural lakes are formed.
