The invitation for the financing of 10 short films for the common history of Greece and Italy has been published
It has been published the call for proposals for the financing of a total of 10 short films on the common history of Greece and Italy (Memory Greece - Italy).
The invitation was issued in the framework of the implementation of the Interreg CIAK Ρroject (Common Initiatives to AcKnowledge and valorize tourism potential of the program area in the program through cinema), which is funded by the Interreg V / A Greece-Italy (EL-IT) Cross-Border Program 2014-2020 and aims to strengthen the interconnection of the audiovisual sector with the Greek Regions that participate in it (Ionian Islands, Western Greece and Epirus), through targeted educational activities addressed to professionals, such as financing the production of audiovisual material and organized promotional activities (festival) by the region units.
This support, based on the objective goals of the project, will have an impact on the local economy, employment, but also on tourism, as "CIAK" is a European project concerning joint initiatives for the recognition and exploitation of the tourism potential of the program area in the project through cinema - Common Initiatives to AcKnowledge and valorize tourism potential of the program area through cinema (CIAK) and is co-financed under the INTERREG VA Greece - Italy program. In this context, the Region of Western Greece is already proceeding with the creation of the local Film Office to facilitate film productions.
The deadline for submission of proposals for financing the production of short films is set for 18 February 2019.
